Best ‘Healthy’ Drinks on a night out

So you have been good all week, but a load of your friends are dragging you out with them on the night out, panic! What drinks are the best? How do I not let this derail my whole fitness plan?!

The truth is, if you are trying to lose weight, or kick start your fitness, then binge drinking is never a good idea. It’s not so much the calories, (although they are bad as well), it’s the effects a drink has on your mind. You are more likely to eat bad food after a drink, as your inhibitions start to loosen, so does your healthy eating plan.

But look, life is complicated, so if you are on a night out and want to have a drink, here is the best options for you:

1) LIE - Order a soda and lime at the bar, but in a fancy cocktail glass, ask the barman to help you out, and be discreet, your friends will never know!

2) The every other principle - For every Alcoholic drink you have, have a water in between. You cut your calories in half.

3) Vodka/Gin and slimline tonic with lime. You can save a massive amount of calories on this trick alone.

Just be honest with your mates, and tell them you don’t want to go crazy on the drink, they will understand. If they don’t, show them your toned stomach and shame them instead!

Even if you do have a blow out, don’t worry too much, just don’t let it carry on past that night. Forget it, move on!

Drink smart and always keep your goals in mind.
