What is it about Monday's....?
Everyone seems to dread them. It starts on Sunday night, when you realise your weekend has gone WAY to quick. I went away last week for a few days, so I had the dreaded email pile up this morning.
It actually wasn't that bad, my thoughts of how much work I would have to do was far worse than it actually was. As soon as I just got on with is, didn't procastinate, just got my head down and acted, it was MUCH easier than I thought it would be.
It's the same with Fitness... Diet.... Weight Loss.... Anything to be honest.
We can over think everything. The dreaded workout. The diet that never starts. The work project that has a few days left on the deadline. The more you put it off, the harder it becomes. The more you think about it, the bigger the hill gets.
Here's the thing. Your thoughts about it, are MUCH worse than the actual thing.
The Solution? Just do it. Just start. If it's your workout you are putting off, just tell yourself you only have to do the first 15 minutes, then you can go home. In reality you will want to stay once you get there.
Every time you find yourself thinking too hard about something you think you have to do, stop, and just do it.
