Morning my Fellow Fitness Fanatics!
Big questions today...
It hit me whilst I was in the sauna, (active recovery and all that) :-)
It's something I teach my clients all the time. Doing whatever it takes to take you to the next level. Identify 1 obstacle which is holding you back, then do whatever it takes to beat it.
Anyway, in the sauna I was chatting to one of the guys behind the big fat gypsy wedding, (seriously). He was a top bloke actually, and talked for so long I nearly fainted in the sauna because I couldn't get away!
He was telling me he used to fight with Amir Kahn, the champion boxer. He mentioned that Amir, couldn't get used to keeping his hands up to protect his face when he first started out, he was always dropping his guard and therefore getting a nice punch in the face.
His coach ended up tying a big elastic band, around his neck, with his hands through as well, which meant he couldn't drop his guard even if he wanted to.
They were doing what ever it takes to get to the next stage in their training. It worked.
It made me think about you guys, working flat out at work, eating well most of the time and trying to get to the next stage in your weight loss and fitness. I bet there is one thing that if you worked and fixed today, it would make a whole load of difference.
For example, if you struggle to eat well when you get home because you are too tired to cook. This may mean that you end up eating a badly balanced meal, or you over shop when you are hungry. Just think, if you fixed this, your days would be perfect. Maybe you need to pay to get your meals delivered, or you need to prep some meals on Sunday so you have one ready, or you even stop at M&S to grab a healthy ready meal. What ever it takes.
So ask yourself, what do I need to change to dramatically improve.
Do whatever it takes to get you there. Do this week by week just one change at a time, do it well, and see your results go through the roof!
