Who's your Mr Mayagi?
What are you talking about, I hear you ask, well I think everyone needs a Mr Mayagi in their lives, seriously! Someone to inspire you, to help you, and show you the way. I'm not suggesting finding the nearest Japanese Kung Fu Master and learning to fight, don't worry.
In every step of my life I have always surrounded myself with people I want to learn from, and who I want to be influenced by. Call them mentors, guru's, coaches, what ever you want. Anything I need to learn or become an expert in, there is already an expert out there who can get me to where I want to be faster than you can say "wax on, wax off".
What's any of this got to do with fitness? Well it's all about surrounding yourself with positive people who can help & inspire you. We naturally imitate the people around us, so if you have fit, dynamic people in your life, on a daily basis, your personality, habits, and knowledge improves instantly. Never under-estimate the power of this, it can literally change everything.
Find the people who can help you, and then get involved, don't be shy. If their is a group who always train at lunch times at work, tag along. If your best friend is on a fitness kick, join her and kick some butt together.
