Working out with a partner/friend There's no doubt about it, if you can find the right person to train with it can be the difference between sticking at your new fitness regime or giving up after 2 weeks! It's all about having the accountability in that your friend is waiting for you, and will be disappointed if you can't train. We are very good at lying to ourselves about what we eat, how much we train, most people think they do more than they do! Too many rest days creep in, and you trick yourself thinking the walk to work was enough!
Another great reason for working out with a friend is that you may feel a sense of responsibility for their goals as well, if your best friend needs to lose some weight to get back at her ex, you will want to help them every step of the way, you are less likely to cancel! Being unfaithful is ok with fitness friends, you don't always have to train with the same person, do yoga one night with one person, boot camp the next, and a run a touch with the boss, you get the idea! Whatever it takes to make fitness a lifestyle, and surround yourself with positive people who motivate you. Join your local boot camp today and make some new friends or even bring your mates to a sessions, you can share the pain together!
